Peggy A Scholes

Peggy A Scholes, age 70, of New London, MO passed away at 2:09 pm Thursday, September 21, 2023, at her home.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Grand View Burial Park. Pastor Mark Burkey will officiate.

Peggy was born on November 4, 1952, in Hannibal, Missouri the daughter of John and Bernice (Hummer) Miller.

She is survived by three Sons, John Golian (Mary) of New London, MO, Gary Scholes, Jr. (Jennifer) of Hannibal, MO, Jamie Franklin (Tina) of Quincy, IL; Daughter, Becky Scholes of Hannibal, MO; Two Brothers, John Miller (Pam) of Hannibal, MO, Larry Catlett of Hannibal, MO; Sister, Joyce Scholes (Randy) of Peoria, IL; Brother-in-law, Gene Scholes, Jr. (Kathy) of Columbia, MO; and grandchildren; Kaleb Fritch, John Fritch, James Fritch, Tanner Scholes, Trevor Scholes, Claeton Culp, Carter Culp, Peyton Culp, Tyler Franklin, Matthew Franklin, James Franklin, Jr., several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bernice, her husband, Gary and three sisters, Margie Scholes, Debbie Catlett, and Connie Smith.

Professionally Peggy worked for many year as a Head Cook for the Hannibal Nutrition Center.

Peggy was one who loved to hang out with people. She liked to go to the bar, drink with her friends and then sing karaoke. She loved to play darts, fish, read Stephen King, and most of all spend time with her grandkids.
