Allen "Al" Sights

Allen  "AL" Sights, age 75, of Hannibal, MO passed away at  Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at University Hospital in Columbia, MO.

Graveside services with full military honors provided by the Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post #55 will be held 3:00 pm Monday, November 8, 2021 at Grand View Burial Park. Rev. Bruce Bouman will officiate.

Visitation celebrating Al's life will be held 2:00 pm until 2:45 pm Monday November 8, 2021 at the Grand View Funeral Home.

Allen  was born on September 6, 1946, in Peoria, IL the son of Allen and Susie Sights.

He was married to Vicky Hyten and she survives him.

Other survivors include a son, Brian Sights; daughters, Michelle Sights and Heidi Sights; stepson, Michael Deobler; stepdaughter, Michelle Hernandez; and three grandchildren.

Mr. Sights was preceded in death by his parents.

Allen graduated from East Peoria High School and went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Al worked at Caterpillar in Peoria all of his professional career.

Away from work, Al enjoyed fishing, attending events at church and the fellowship of his church family, and trips to visit family in Peoria, Il and Phoenix, AZ.  These  were all things that Al cherished.  Most of all, Al loved to spend time with family and friends.

Allen was a member of  Mt. Zion Christian Church.
