Amanda Mae Evans, 92, of New London, MO, died at 9:10 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2015, at the Hannibal Regional Hospital, in Hannibal, MO.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Grand View.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Tim Goodman will officiate. Burial will follow at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Amanda was born on June 13, 1922, in Ralls County, MO, the daughter of John T. and Nellie Clayvell Biggs. She married Richard L. Evans on October 2, 1942, and he preceded her in death.
Her parents, one son, Richard "Dickie" Evans; two brothers, Donald and Thomas Biggs; three sisters, Dorthalee Murry, Eva Lock and Vera Ryan also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Tim (Sue) Evans of New London and Randy (Vicky) Evans of Hannibal, MO; two sisters, Elise Funderburk of CA and M. Joyce Peters of Hannibal, MO; five grandchildren, Jimmy (Gretchen) Evans, Chelly (Jared) Garver, Jenny (Barry) Varner, Janna (James) Schremmer and Lynne (John) Otten, and ten great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are James Schremmer, John Otten, John Memken, Kris Bushmeyer, Wayne Pickett and Paul Thomas.
Amanda was a member of the Teamsters Union and drove a school bus for the Hannibal School District for 20 years. She also worked for the school library between bus runs.
