Bill W Young, age 64, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 10:12 pm Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Grand View Funeral Home. Pastor Randy Drish will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand View Burial Park following the service.

Visitation celebrating Bill’s life will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the Grand View Funeral Home.

Billy died from COVID and the family requests that everyone in attendance wears a mask. The family appreciates your support and understanding during this time.

Bill was born on July 20, 1956, in Hannibal, Missouri the son of James and Joann Young.

He was united in marriage to Teresa Lee Young on January 21, 1977 in Hannibal.

Survivors included Wife, Teresa Lee Young of Hannibal. Two Daughters, Stacy Beer, Billy Young, both of Hannibal; Four Grandsons, James Beer (Susanne), Joshua Young (Rachel), Blake Beer, Clayton Beer; Four Granddaughters, Ashlen Whitaker, Brittney Caldwell (Gage), Breanna Caldwell, Georgia Beer; Two Great-granddaughters, Rynlee and Emmiline; and three Great-grandsons, Ian, Noah, and Samuel. A Brother, Louis Young; and Three Sisters, Barb Hasty, Janelle Powell, Regina Young.

He was preceded in death by his Father, James Washington Young; his Mother, Joann Young; Daughter, Barbara Ann Young; and his Grandson, Jessi Cyle Young.

After completing the seventh grade he went to work on the family farm where he worked to help provide for the family. Despite only having a formal seventh grade education, Bill never stopped learning or studying.  He was street smart and more importantly he knew people.  Bill was a friend to everyone who met him.

Professionally Bill ran a lawn care service with his brother Louis. He was very well known for his professional attitude and the way he cared for his customers .

As a man of faith Bill was a member of the Crossing in Hannibal where he served as a greeter and made sure that anyone who came through the door was welcomed.

Most importantly Bill was a family man. His grandchildren were very special to him and he would take them on walks daily, and he loved being with them.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Young, James Beer, Brian Armour, Wilbert Young, Alex Young and Louis Young.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jessie Shockley and Blake Beer.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses, in care of Grand View Funeral Home.
