Evelyn Mae Fuqua, 86, of Hannibal, MO, died on Friday, August 17, 2018, at the Maple Lawn Nursing Home.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2018, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Evelyn's grandson, Pastor Andrew Fuqua of Stoughton, WI, officiating.
Evelyn was born on February 5, 1932, in Ames, IA, the daughter of Donald N. and Patricia Smith Scott. She married Robert E. Fuqua on January 25, 1950, at the Providence Baptist Church in rural Hannibal, and he preceded her in death.
Her parents, a brother, Ronald Scott and her step-father, Harry Myers, preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons, Steven (Barbara) Fuqua of Hannibal, MO, Mark Fuqua of Huntsville, AL and Tim (Johnna) Fuqua of Hannibal, MO; one daughter, Nancy (Ray) Hill of Dover, FL; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Evelyn worked for the Crown Shoe Factory in Palmyra, MO, until it closed. She later served Hannibal Regional Hospital as a volunteer. She was a Pentecostal by faith, and was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Hannibal.
Pallbearers will be John Fuqua, Nathan Fuqua, Jonathan Fuqua, Patrick Fuqua, David Fuqua, Matthew Fuqua and Michael Hill.
