Geraldine (Geri) L. Tate, age 93, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 2:32 pm Friday, August 9, 2024, at Beth Haven Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, August 16, 2024, at Grand View Funeral Home. Rev. Tom Lemons will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand View Burial Park.
Visitation celebrating Geri's life will be held at 1:00 pm until the time of the service Friday at Grand View Funeral Home.
Geraldine was born on July 18, 1931, in Fishhook, IL to Joe Amos and Letha (McKinney) Still.
She was united in marriage to Albert Lee Tate on June 30, 1953. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1985.
Survivors include her children, Ronald Tate (Esther) of Jeff City, MO, Richard Tate (Bobbie) of New London, MO, Cheryl Walcott of Center, MO and Patty Wagner (John) of Hannibal, MO; one sister, Dorothy Pabpts of Texas; ten grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Tate was preceded in death by one sister, Margie McNary and a grandson Matthew Wagner.
Geraldine retired from Levering Hospital where she worked in Housekeeping. She enjoyed going to McDonalds with her special friend the late Everett Constable to have coffee with a group of friends nearly every day. Geri enjoyed traveling to Arizona and other destinations in her younger years. Some of her favorite past times were watching older TV shows, putting together puzzles and cooking. Being around family and friends gave Geraldine the most joy. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Geraldine was a Baptist by faith.
Pallbearers will be Donald Sullivan, Mike McCune, Memphis Folweiler, Hunter Wagner, Richard Tate, and Tony Skaggs.
Honorary pallbearers will be Garrett Tate, Brandon Tate, Conner Wagner and Ron Tate.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grand View Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
