Janet P Sinclair

Janet P. Sinclair, age 81, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 8:52 pm Thursday, May 9, 2024, at University Hospital in Columbia, MO.

A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, May 17, 2024 at Grand View Burial Park.

Janet was born on March 31, 1943, in Shirley, Missouri to Harvey and Mary Katherine (Phares) Trader.

She was united in marriage to Delbert Sinclair on July 17, 2019, in Hannibal, MO.

Survivors include husband, Delbert Sinclair of Hannibal, son, Stanley Wilson (Lanette) of Arizona, daughter, Holly Elmore of Jacksonville, IL., son, Gerald Wilson (Alicia) of Franklin, IL., her sister Charlotte Abney (William Edward Abney) of Mechanicsburg, IL; Three stepdaughters, Chris Lane (Jeff ), Amanda Lord (Wayne) and Megan Sinclair, all of Hannibal, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harvey Alberta and Mary Katherine Trader, her brother George Trader, half sister Julia Blake, late husband Stanley E. Wilson, grandparents, aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Janet completely loved the outdoors. Being out in the woods among the birds, squirrels and trees, but not the spiders, is where she loved to be. She loved to travel and experience new things. Crocheting, spending time outside with a sweet tea or lemonade, and her kids, 12 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren and a great, great grandchild were all very important to her. Janet had a very strong will and was not afraid to speak her mind. She will be missed.

Professionally Janet worked as a home health care provider.
