Larry was born on August 10, 1948, in Hannibal, Missouri the son of William R. Failor, Sr. and Arla Haynes Morton.

He was united in marriage to Belinda Hudson on August 10, 1969, "Larry always said he was married on his birthday so he wouldn't forget his anniversary."

Survivors included wife, Belinda Failor of the home; son, Larry Failor, Jr. and wife Kim of Hannibal, MO; two grandsons, Darrell Kelso and Darion of Hannibal, MO and William Failor of Hannibal, MO; granddaughter, Laura Failor of Hannibal, MO; brother, Bob Failor and wife Sandy of New London, MO; two sisters, Gail Waller and husband Mike of Monroe City, MO and Kelly Funkenbusch and husband Scott of Palmyra, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends of the family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Failor was precded in death by three brothers, Terry Failor, Sr. William R. Failor, Jr. and Basil Failor, Sr; two sisters, Donna Kay Failor and Brenda Sue Failor.

Larry previously worked at Black Thunder Power Boats in Hannibal and most recently worked as the Maintenance Supervisor at Grand View Funeral Home & Burial Park.  Upon retirement Larry Jr. took over his fathers roles at Grand View Funeral Home & Burial Park.  Larry was still working at the time of his death mowing and helping out with daily upkeep at Grand View.  Mowing at Grand View was something Larry truly enjoyed doing.

Larry was known as "Pop" by his family and friends.  Pop loved to hunt, fish and spend time at the river camp.  Pop loved hanging out and visiting with his family and friends at the river camp.  Fish fry's, chicken & noodles, pumpkin pie, watching boxing and westerns, and Sunday brunch were all favorites of Pop's.  Family was everything to Pop, whether at work, home, river camp, in the woods or on the Mississippi, Pop cherished these time spent with his family.

Pop also had a ornery side of him, he loved to play jokes and torment his grandchildren and friends, especially his only granddaughter Laura. Everyone that knew Pop knew he liked to collect things.  These things may seem like junk to many people but to Pop they had great value.

Larry will truly be missed by his family and all the friends that had the pleasure of meeting him.

Mr. Failor was a Christian by faith.
