Marjory J. Janes, 88, of Monroe City, MO, died at 2:40 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at the Monroe City Manor in Monroe City, MO. No services will be held for Mrs. Janes.
Marjory was born on April 21, 1927 in Shelbyville, MO, the daughter of Andrew Perry Lear and Flossie O. Wilcox Lear. She married Jimmy Janes on October 26, 1947, and he survives.
Her parents, and an infant granddaughter, Jennifer Janes, preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons, James "Bud" (Carol) Janes and John (Nancy) Janes both of Hannibal, MO and Jerry (Elaine) Janes of Columbia, MO; three daughters, Janis St. Onge of Mankato, MN, Jeana (Denny) Drebenstedt of Philadelphia, MO and Judy (Rick) Stone of Monroe City, MO; two sisters, Doris Deremiah and Patty Scott; one brother, R. Donley (Joyce) Lear; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
Marjory had been a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church. She and Jimmy were members of the "Just Plain Folks" camping group of Center, MO, and spent many winters in McAllen, TX. She found much joy hearing about and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Marjory will be forever remembered by family and friends.
