Ruth A Carr (Tipton)(Daniels) age 85, of Agawam, MA passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Grand View Burial Park.

A memorial service of Christian burial was held on Friday September 23,2022 at the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street in Agawam, MA.

Surviving Ruth is her loving husband John Carr and her stepchildren Dave Carr and Deb Carr all of Missouri. She also leaves her devoted children Lesley (Daniels) Shlosser and her husband Darin and their children Devin and Hannah of Simsbury CT, and Greg Daniels of Fort Pierce FLA.
Her family acknowledges and is thankful for the friendship and compassion shown to Ruth during the final months of her life and struggles of living with Parkinson's disease by Mark Daniels of Agawam and his companion Dottie Kravvcznski of South Hadley. She also leaves her extended Missouri family and friends from her youth spent in Hannibal MO as well as many friends in the local area.

Born in Hannibal, Missouri, Ruth spent her younger years there eventually graduating from Hannibal LaGrange college. She then furthered her education at William Jewell College in Liberty MO, where she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Society, graduating with her BA degree in physical education. Ruth had a successful career as a teacher for more than thirty years in school systems in Missouri, Illinois, California, and Massachusetts. Her love of children motivated her to be in the classroom each day. In her leisure she enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and her beloved mini schnauzers. Her talents lie in the field of music, and she played the piano and organ her entire life. Her venues included weddings, funerals, services at the Agawam Baptist Church and most recently the Agawam Senior Center. She loved creating music for the enjoyment of others and will be fondly remembered for her musical abilities. Ruth also loved cooking and collecting cookbooks and attending auctions and garage sales. She was happiest when sharing her talents with others especially her treasured family and friends.
