Sharon "Sheri" Johnson

Sharon "Sheri" Johnson, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on October 10th, 2024, surrounded by two of her beloved grandchildren at 80 years of age.

Sheri was born to Mary Celeste & William Henry Johnson in Cherokee, IA on November 17, 1943.

Sheri is survived by her daughter, Denise DeVault; grandchildren, Brian Shapiro, Samantha Proske, Rachel Crabtree, and Ryan Lukow; and great-grandchildren, Bek Celeste, Damien, Logan, and Michael.

Sheri was proceeded in death by her grandmother, Mary Celestine Lyman; mother, Mary Celeste Johnson (Logan); and daughter, Kimberly Dawn Lukow.

Sheri was a voracious reader of various genres, from Fantasy to Romance and everything in-between. In her younger years she enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, and tending to her salt-water fish tanks. She always loved her fur babies, both cats and dogs, but above all, her greatest love was for her family.

Sheri was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was previously part of their "Girlfriends Cafe".

Sheri retired from a long management career in the Automobile Insurance Industry. After retirement she worked at Quincy Senior Center assisting seniors with their Medicare Insurance and other needs.

Join us for a Celebration of Sheri’s Life and Memorial on Saturday, October 26th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Grand View Funeral Home, 11116 US-61, Hannibal, MO 63401. Celebration visitation begins at 10:00 AM and the Memorial service begins at 11:00 AM.

Cremation arrangements and services are being handled by Grand View Funeral Home.
