William Wayne Elledge Sr, 74, of Hannibal, MO, died at 4:57 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2017, at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal. Rev. John Birkhead will officiate.
William was born on December 9, 1942, in Hannibal, MO, the son of George R. and Catherine Irene Short Elledge. He married Mary Ann Page on June 8, 1968, and she preceded him in death.
Also preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, George R. Elledge Jr; and a sister, Shirley M. Charlton.
He is survived by two sons, Tom Elledge and Bill (RaeAnn) Elledge Jr; a daughter, Tracy (Scott) Miller; a sister, Joyce L. Crabill; three grandchildren, Joshua S. Miller, Ashlie (Ryan) Gilmore, and Bransen Miller; and a great grandchild, Asher Dean Miller.
William served in the United States Air Force. He then went to work for Lomax Trucking as a driver for over 30 years. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Bowling Green, MO. He loved singing in the choir, being a deacon, and ministering to people in nursing homes.
Memorials may be sent to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
