Frederick “Fred” Lee Broemmer of Camdenton, MO and formerly of Chesterfield, MO, went to his heavenly home on August 3rd, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at his Camdenton home. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Letha “Carol” (Belshe); two sons: Frederick II “Chip” (Megan) of Springfield, MO and Timothy “Tim” of Wentzville, MO; five cherished grandchildren: Mia (Devin) McDaniel, Mackenzie Broemmer, Claire Broemmer, Bailey Broemmer and Jaxon Broemmer; one brother: Donald (Connie) and one sister: Janet Gregonis as well as much loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Fred was born in Hannibal, MO on January 14, 1943, to Clarence and Leona (Beckett) Broemmer. Fred grew up in Hannibal where he and his buddies were once featured as Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn in a National Geographic article. Fred graduated from Hannibal High, served in the USMCR, received his bachelor’s degree from Washington University and his master’s from Webster University. He spent his career in the field of engineering and facilities/operations management.
Fred was a member and elder at Christ the King Lutheran Church. He enjoyed being a Master Naturalist and served his community on Planning and Zoning Commissions in both Chesterfield and Camdenton. Fred was an avid fisherman and enthusiastic St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was a man of faith and integrity, a friend to many.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Barbara Johnson, and two brothers-in-law, Doug Gregonis and Dale Belshe.
Visitation will be at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Lake Ozark, MO at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 10 with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Interment at Grandview Burial Park, Hannibal, MO on Friday, August 11 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to either Medical Missions for Christ Clinic, Camdenton, MO or Hope House Food Pantry of Miller County, Lake Ozark, MO.
